Luz Financial Services (Pty) Ltd is authorised as a Category I Financial Services Provider in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (“FAIS Act”).

As an FSP, we are bound by the FAIS General Code of Conduct, fit and proper requirements, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and ongoing CPD obligations.
FICA & POPIA
Luz Financial Services is an accountable institution under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (“FICA”). We apply a risk-based approach to client identification, verification and ongoing monitoring.
- We maintain a documented Risk Management and Compliance Programme (RMCP).
- Know-Your-Client (KYC) procedures are applied before entering into a business relationship.
- We may be required to report certain suspicious or unusual transactions to the Financial Intelligence Centre.
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”), your personal information is:
- Collected for lawful, explicit and defined purposes only.
- Processed in a responsible and secure manner.
- Shared only where required to implement or service products, or where we are legally obliged.
- Never sold to third parties.
Complaints Process
If you believe that you have been treated unfairly or received unsuitable advice, you have the right to lodge a complaint. Our complaints process is:
- Submit your complaint in writing to complaints@luzfs.co.za, including your full name, ID number, contact details and a description of the issue.
- Acknowledgement & investigation: We will acknowledge receipt and investigate your complaint in line with our Complaints Management Policy.
- Outcome: You will receive a written response explaining our findings and, where applicable, any proposed remedial steps.
- Escalation: If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may refer the matter to the FAIS Ombud within the prescribed timeframes.
